Ingredients

  • 8 oz water
  • 4 oz whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon black tea or 2 tea bags
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger
  • 2 whole cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 star anise

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a simmer and pour over a container with tea.
  2. Add all spices and ginger.
  3. Let steep for 10 minutes and then stain through a fine whole strainer into a cup.
  4. Add sugar and milk to taste.
