Ingredients
- 8 oz water
- 4 oz whole milk
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon black tea or 2 tea bags
- 4 cardamom pods
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger
- 2 whole cloves
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 star anise
Instructions
- Bring water to a simmer and pour over a container with tea.
- Add all spices and ginger.
- Let steep for 10 minutes and then stain through a fine whole strainer into a cup.
- Add sugar and milk to taste.
