Ingredients
- 3 pounds fresh cherries, steamed and pitted
- 1 cup brandy
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
Instructions
- Combine sugar and water and bring to a simmer in a large pot.
- Add cherries and let simmer for 5 minutes or until heated through and a little soft.
- Remove from heat and add the brandy and vanilla.
- Remove from heat and strain cherries out. Fill glass jars with cherries and then pour liquid until cherries are covered.
- Store in the refrigerator.
